Crack the whip, dig for treasure and save the world in LucasArts' LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues. Developed by Traveller's Tales, the studio behind the prequel, Star Wars and Batman games, Indy 2 continues the story of Hollywood's most popular archaeologist and includes new features that should keep us building for months.

With this game, the designers focused on the previous movie, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. To that end, expect to play through numerous scenes from the blockbuster film, interacting with such characters as Mutt Williams, Irina Spalko, Oxely and Dovchenko, among others; you'll even ride Mutt's motorcycle.

That said, Traveller's Tales plans to go back to the original trilogy to include scenes cut from the last game. And since LEGO games have hundreds of familiar faces, expect to see Short Round, Sala, Marion, Mola Ram and Henry Jones Sr., in addition to a character creator that lets you build your own LEGO people.

Thankfully, popular heroes and villains are but one of the returning features. Just like Indy 2's predecessor, you'll enjoy drop-in/drop-out co-op, the ability to swap characters and plenty of puzzles to solve.

While that sounds cool, we're jazzed about the new content. To make things even more interactive, the developers designed six enormous hub worlds comprised of five levels each. While exploring these hubs (think the Cantina in LEGO Star Wars but even bigger), you'll be able to swim, fly planes, ride boats and do other cool things to pass the time.

Traveller's Tales also improved the gameplay. This time around, you can use Indy's whip to tie up bad guys, yank them in his direction (Scorpion from Mortal Kombat style) and flip them into levels to solve puzzles; you can even work in tandem with another player to trip them.

The Builder, however, is by far the game's most appealing feature. This sophisticated level editor allows you to construct your own levels, challenges and puzzles; as well as share them with friends. After making a few of those, you'll turn to the Build Your Own Adventure mode, where you can piece everything together to make a whole new game.

That alone has us excited for LEGO Indiana Jones 2. Whether or not we can upload our creations online, however, remains to be seen. We'll report more on Indy's latest adventure in the near future.
