Although the graphics still need some work (the frame rate stuttered quite a bit during the presentation), Legendary: The Box shows great potential. The large levels look like they could take hours to explore, even though a linear path get Charles out of trouble quickly. The detail looks fabulous, particularly with the creatures. Those Gryphons give off a downright nasty appearance, especially when they get close for a quick nibble.

Charles has access to a number of weapons throughout the game, such as the all-powerful shotgun and the effective machine gun. More creative guns will debut within the next few months as the game nears completion, but Spark's reps remain tight-lipped for the time being. However, the mark burned into the art thief's hand enables him to use supernatural abilities throughout the game. The only one shown off so far gives him the power to suck energy from his enemies and replenish his own health.

Finally, Legendary: The Box features a multiplayer mode to go along with the several-hour-long single-player campaign. Once again, the development team hasn't said a word about it, but it should support several players over Xbox Live (or PlayStation Network for the PS3 version) and involve lots of monsters to obliterate.

Legendary: The Box opens up to the public in early 2008. Look for more info here on GameDaily closer to the game's release.
