Phantagram has had some difficulty in getting the Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders project to fruition. Recently, it lost the support of its publisher NCsoft and the game itself has not been in the spotlight for quite some time.
Microsoft has now picked up the game and has signed an agreement with Phantagram to publish the game in North America. The game is a hybrid of 3D action and RTS elements. Gamers can control single units during huge battles between armies. The game allows direct and deep control of military support units with many different units to chose from.
The game will feature over 60 maps where Humans and the Dark Legion battle for supremacy. The game will allow up to 150 units on the screen at one time, support downloadable content and support co-op and versus battles via Xbox Live.
Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders is currently set for a Q4 2004 release date only for the Xbox.
