According to sources in Japan the upcoming Weekly Shonen Jump, set to hit newstands on Sunday, will unveil several new Square-Enix products currently in development. Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories for the Game Boy Advance, Kingdom Hearts II for the PlayStation 2, and a new DVD continuing the story from Final Fantasy VII using CG animation. All three titles are expected to release in 2004.
With Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories coming to GBA in 2004, one has to wonder what Square-Enix has planned for Sony's PlayStation Portable (PSP), also due out in 2004. It's been rumored for some time that a direct sequel to Final Fantasy VII would hit the PSP, and with a DVD just announced it could easily lead into the new game in a similar fashion to the Final Fantasy X DVD.
We'll have more information on these titles as we draw closer to their 2004 release dates.
