I have a confession to make. I am a sucker for Kim Possible. I am in my late twenties, and I have never seen the television show on which the games are based, so you can understand perhaps why this statement needs to be a confession. How can I enjoy a series of games so much when I should have ostensibly outgrown it long ago, and probably don't understand a lot of the plot lines included in the game? The answer is that the Kim Possible series is one of the most entertaining series of games out there right now, and this holds true whether you're a diehard fan, or just a casual gamer looking for a good time. Additionally, the game is a challenge. I spend quite large chunks of time getting past what should be even the easiest parts of the game, and this means that every advancement I make feels like an accomplishment.

I have another confession to make. I am a terrible gamer. By nature of the job that I have, I should be a great gamer. I play games for a living, and what's more, they are kid's games. I should be beating games right and left. Unfortunately, so many of the games I play are games that are so-so. Most of them are so elementary that I have little interest in finishing them. Luckily, the Kim Possible series provides me with a much needed level of entertainment not reached by the other games I am lucky enough to play.

It was with much anticipation that I began playing Kim Possible: Kimmunicator. This is the first time I've played a Kim game on anything other than a Game Boy Advance, and to say I was impressed by the jump in graphic quality would be an understatement. Kim, who normally has tons of gymnastics moves in her repertoire, now is able to move with a lot more intricacy. Her movements are fluid. In addition to how Kim moves, the levels you play through just look really vibrant and dimensional.

The game's plot is your typical Kim Possible game. In Kimmunicator, Kim's friend Wade is kidnapped by Drakken, and Kim must go under cover to rescue him. In this game, the DS's touch screen becomes the Kimmunicator, which provides Kim with information and tips. Overall though, the DS's touch screen functionality is not really utilized to its fullest. The game is still a straightforward side-scrolling platformer.

The fun factor in this game is high, and the game is challenging, but not terribly difficult. The only complaint is that Kim's power is drained very quickly, and she only has three lives to play through, so you have to quickly learn how avoid damage and injury, or you won't advance very far through the game.

Overall, Kim Possible: Kimmunicator is another strong offering in an already thriving series. It is strongly recommended for gamers looking for a challenging and exciting experience with a strong lead character.
