One of the most bizarre games shown at the event was Killer 7, a violent shooter that looks like Ubisoft's XIII on an acid trip. Developed by Grasshopper Interactive, Killer 7 is called a "post modern action adventure" game.

The premise is that the game's protagonist, Harmen Smith, has seven unique personalities. Players assume the role of these personalities, one at a time, as they play through the game. Each of these personality characters has unique abilities, which will be required to solve the game's puzzles and complete the experience.

"Certain characters can only get into certain areas of the game, so you'll have to figure that out as you play," said Rey Jimenez, product manager, Capcom. "You start out with three characters and add more as you progress. You're able to switch characters on-the-fly as you play."

The plot involves a terrorist named Kunalan who is out to destroy the world. With Japan under attack, the U.S. government enlists Harmen Smith, a wheel-chair bound old man, to use his personalities to take down Kunalan.

Those personalities include: Dan Smith, a well-rounded character who has a strong fireball shot; Kaede Smith, a sexy vixen who comes armed with a rifle scope for sniping and can solve puzzles by slitting her wrists and spewing blood; Kevin Smith, who attacks with blades and has the power of invisibility; Coyote Smith, a thief who can pick locks and jump; Con Smith, a small blind kid who packs double pistols and can sense hidden passages, Garcian Smith, who resurrects dead personalities by collecting their body parts; and Mask de Smith, a hulking ex-wrestler who has great strength and the most powerful shot, but a slow reload time.

There are also non-playable characters that will help you along the way, including Iwusata, who gives you gameplay hints and introduces each new personality; Samanth, who saves the game for you in the TV room, and Suzy, a headless woman who helps you at various points in the game.

Gameplay focuses on shooting. One button moves you forward and the other allows you to fire your weapon. You can perform one-hit kills and pick up blood to upgrade your attacks. Upgrades can be assigned to each character in four categories: power, speed waver (steady shot) and abilities. It's up to your fighting preferences as to which of the personalities are powered up in which meter.

A variety of cinematic camera angles in third-person perspective make this shooter feel very unique. You'll fire at enemies in both first-person and third-person perspectives.

Enemies in this game are called Smiles, which are former humans that Ku has turned into walking, breathing time bombs. Smiles come in about a dozen different shapes and sizes. Each has a specific weak spot for one-hit kills.

The game's divided into six missions, which vary in length but can be as long as three hours each, and Jimenez said there should be about 10 to 15 hours of gameplay packed into the final game. As an added incentive for replay, there will be something unlockable after the first play-through that Jimenez said will encourage a second go-round.
