SCi Entertainment Group, the parent company of Eidos, announced today that takeover talks are still ongoing for the company. The U.K.-based company also reported that first quarter sales were up 14 percent year-on-year, with Kane & Lynch: Dead Men "showing positive sales indicators." Gaming firms Electronic Arts and Ubisoft along with Time Warner (which already owns a 10 percent stake in SCi Entertainment) and Chinese software group CDC Corporation have all been rumored to be interested in the publisher of Hitman and Tomb Raider.
"Over the first quarter we sold games on a variety of platforms including Microsoft's Xbox360, Nintendo's DS and Wii, and Sony's Playstation 2 and PlayStation 3," said the company in a trading statement. "Whilst our units sold increased year-on-year this was offset by lower pricing due to the last generation to next-generation console transition and product mix."
