THQ announced today that Journey to the Center of the Earth is currently being developed for the DS. The title will be based upon the Journey to the Center of the Earth 3-D film starring Brendan Fraser. The digital 3-D live action movie will come out the same time as the game on July 11.

The Journey to the Center of the Earth game will allow players to control all three three main characters from the movie, Trevor, Sean and Hannah. The title will expand upon the seven worlds shown in the film. Journey to the Center of the Earth will also feature mini-games, where players explore ruins and dig for dinosaur bones.
