Tactical RPGs are always a little bit intimidating because of their extremely nuanced battle systems. As such, they have always been a bit of a niche market. However, Level 5 seems to be turning the tables with Jeanne d'Arc, which is incredibly accessible thanks to an ample introductory section of the game which teaches new players the ins and outs of the genre. Matching that with slick visuals, a rich story and challenging (and more importantly, fun) battles, and this is a game that anyone with a PSP should at least check out.
