Electronic Arts working on next Bond title to feature the GoldenEye name? Rumors and reports await you...

Gamesindustry.biz is reporting today that Electronic Arts is reviving the GoldenEye name for a Bond title to debut at the upcoming E3 in Los Angeles. Although Free Radical, developers of the original GoldenEye, recently signed a publishing agreement with EA, the new title is presumably in development at EA's Redwood Shores Studio, which is the team behind the recent Everything or Nothing.
Many will remember that GoldenEye was one of the greatest games on the previous generation of consoles and speculation is leaning towards more than just a rehash of the N64 classic masterpiece. Despite the fact that some of the more recent additions to the Bond series have been lackluster, a GoldenEye based game on the current generation of hardware should get many gamers excited. Although EA representatives have yet to confirm the new game's name or what it's about, more information should trickle in as we close in on May's Electronic Entertainment Expo.
