Gamers around the world are anxiously awaiting further details on the follow-up to Shadow of the Colossus, and while game designer and ICO creator Fumito Ueda isn't promising to talk about the game, he will be on hand at this year's Game Developers Conference as part of a panel called "Evolving Game Design: Today and Tomorrow, East and West Game Design." Perhaps Ueda will drop some hints about his current project.
Ueda will be joined by Goichi Suda (a.k.a. SUDA51), CEO/Game Designer at Grasshopper Manufacture, Emil Pagliarulo, the lead designer on Bethesda's Fallout 3, and Mark MacDonald, Executive Director at 8-4Ltd.
During the 60-minute session, the panel will discuss the most important recent trends in modern game design and where games are headed in the next few years, both in Japan and the West. The exact date and time of the panel has not been scheduled yet. GDC takes place March 23-27 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
