Take Herbie to the championship in Herbie Fully Loaded!

This past summer, Herbie the Love Bug lit up the big screen with his wacky racing antics in Herbie Fully Loaded. Starring the popular actress Lindsay Lohan, the movie followed a Volkswagen Bug named Herbie as it, and its teenage driver, worked towards success in stock car racing. Like all good movies, Herbie Fully Loaded has been made into a video game, and now fans of Herbie can put the pedal to the metal and see for themselves what it's like to race the famous Bug.
Beyond the snapshots of Lindsay Lohan cheering you on, Herbie Fully Loaded is just like any other racing game for the Game Boy Advance. Pressing A makes the car accelerate, and the directional pad makes the car turn. There are power ups that you can pick up along the way, and you can use the shoulder buttons to activate them. The object of the game is to come in first in each race you compete in. Once you do that, you can unlock more tracks and more places to compete.
In all, the game is not too difficult, as long as you learn the controls and are able to keep Herbie moving steady. If he veers off the road and onto the grass, he slows down considerably, and the other racers can get ahead of you. You also have to watch out for other cars, because they can damage you and cause you to spin out of control.
The graphics in Herbie Fully Loaded aren't the best, and only allow you to view Herbie from the back. Lindsay Lohan only appears in what look like still photographs before each race, complete with a little message to encourage you to do a good job. In all, if you are a fan of the film, or are just looking for an easy racing game to try out, Herbie Fully Loaded may be just what you are looking for. However, if you like your racers a little deeper and more complex, you may want to look elsewhere.
