Report: 'Nearly Everyone' Laid Off at Flagship Studios (PC)

Although this is still in the realm of rumor, it could very well be game over for Flagship Studios, which has been working on the action-RPG Mythos.

GameDaily sister site Big Download has heard from a source close to Hellgate: London studio Flagship Studios that almost everyone at the developer has been given the axe. Representatives at Flagship have yet to confirm the unfortunate news.

As it stands now, the fate of Flagship Studios, which was founded by former Blizzard North employees such as Bill Roper and Max and Eric Schaefer, is completely up in the air. It's also unclear what will ultimately happen to Hellgate: London or the currently in-development action-RPG Mythos.

The report from Big Download says that official word from Flagship is expected within "the next several days."

I've heard that the Hellgate IP is being passed over to a Korean company, but at the moment its all conjecture and rumor. Hopefully, if it is given over the new owners can help Hellgate dig itself out of the ditch it got pigeonholed into.
