Buy a Nintendo Wii for $79, Holy Amazon! (PS3)

Amazon lets customers decide on the lowest prices of the season for Wii, PS3 or Xbox 360.

Rather than sue sites that talk about the upcoming Black Friday sales (the day after Thanksgiving for all you non-U.S. peeps), Amazon opened a voting contest with six rounds to vote a super low price for 18 products.

Round one, lets customers vote for which video game console they'd like to see at a new and super reduced price: Nintendo Wii for only $79 (a $170 savings), Sony PlayStation 3 for only $139 (a $260 savings) or a non-HDMI Microsoft Xbox 360 Arcade for $99 (a $180 savings). Of course, once the voting completes on November 21, only 1,000 of the winning units will be available. So far, the Nintendo Wii is winning with 55% of the vote. To see if you've been randomly selected to purchase the winning item, you have to check back on Amazon's Customer Vote page on each round's buying day.

Five remaining rounds let customers vote on digital cameras, kids toys, blu-ray/hd-dvd or TiVo HD units, a laptop, a GPS or something that gamers will jump up and down for -- a 46 inch Samsung 1080p LCD TV for $718.
