Electronic Arts indicated today in an SEC filing that delaying the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince game will cost the company $120 million for fiscal 2008. Sales for the game are expected to be around three million units.

The Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince game was officially delayed until Summer 2009 yesterday, putting it in line with the movie of the same name. EA's estimated loss of $120 million for this fiscal year is in line with original estimates from Lazard Capital Markets' Colin Sebastian and Signal Hill's Todd Greenwald, who placed the loss at $120 million and $150 million, respectively.
