Moviegoers probably remember Spider-Man 3 opened to record numbers this past May. Less memorable was Lucky You, a spunky romantic comedy starring Eric Bana and Drew Barrymore. Why would anyone put out a movie on the same weekend as the Marvel Comics blockbuster? In Hollywood, it's called counter-programming -- meaning not everyone wants to see the big hit and might want to check out ...something different.

The same goes for the Halo launch this week. Shocking as it may seem, not *everyone* loves Halo. Or do they? We talked to the developers who are brave (or foolish) enough to put their games out during Halo 3's launch window.

Most Halo-like feature in the game:
The Shopping Cart is very reminiscent of the Ghost. It controls a little skittish at first, but once mastered it becomes an effective vehicle for fast-paced mayhem and destruction.

What's the most compelling reason for gamers to check out this game instead of or in addition to Halo 3?
Of the two games, one of them has an engaging story which sees a heroic protagonist in a violent struggle to save mankind and protect the freedoms we know in a way which parallels modern day events, making us not only think about our place in society but also prompting us to question our motivations as a species. The other is Halo 3.

You won't confuse this guy with the Master Chief:
Jason "Wee-man" Acuna - while he lacks the ability to dual wield, on a pure destructive capability to height ratio, Weeman packs far more punch per vertical inch than Master Chief.
