Potassium enthusiast Jason Saldana plays the voice of Red vs. Blue's Pvt. Tucker.
Whose idea was it to have you guys do voices in Halo 3? Did Bungie ask you or did you guys pester Bungie until they let you be in the game?
Jason: We were at the Child's Play charity event last year and one of the auction items was a voice role in Halo 3. We won a lengthy bidding war, only to be immediately told by the guys at Bungie that they would have let us do it for free! It was for a good cause, though.
In the game, you do this funny bit with a guy trying to get into a supply closet. Whose idea was that?
Jason: We were given the scenario and then told to do our thing to it. We gave them a couple of different options, in hopes that we wouldn't ruin the game. What's pretty cool about it is that six of us provided audio for it, so you end up hearing different voices depending on what difficulty level you play.
"If my family sees me at Thanksgiving they'll be lucky. And if they do, I'll be dual-wielding turkey legs."
Geoff: We had to actually try.
Matt: And we did two takes.
Jason: And the lack of cursing and fart jokes.
Did you guys get excited over anyone else who's in the cast of Halo 3?
Matt: I was impressed just by how much talent is in the game. It makes it a lot easier to get from Burnie Burns to Kevin Bacon in that six degrees of separation game.
Jason: What? Is Kevin Bacon in Halo 3?
