The GameDaily One-Minute Review
So how's this for quality? The Xbox 360 is stealing all of the head lines because of games Perfect Dark Zero, Call of Duty 2, and Quake 4, but the Xbox is playing host to Half-Life 2, which just so happens to be one of the greatest games ever made. The Xbox port features the entire single player adventure and developer Valve has done a good job bringing it to Microsoft's machine. The gunplay and unique physics have been perfectly recreated and the game is still one of the best that you'll play, but the inferior hardware means that none of it looks nearly as good as it does on the PC, and some unsightly frame rate hiccups mar the ocular experience. But you seriously need to check out Half-Life 2 Xbox if you've never played its PC counterpart. It's not necessarily worth a $49.99 purchase because there isn't any reason to replay it once it's beaten, but this probably 17-22 of the best hours that you'll ever spend playing videogames, and personally, that justifies the cost.
