The creator, Harrison Krix, never knew that once he posted several shots of the final replica, he'd get slammed with requests for making all sorts of things. Game sites praised his efforts and team members at Bungie and Infinity Ward contacted him too. Noticing that he had not been contacted by Valve, we put the two in touch.
Krix is happy to report that he's creating another gun for Valve and may get a chance to deliver the gun to the team who created Portal -- a huge deal for a fan of the game.
Since GameDaily was curious about how he made the replica, Krix shared hundreds of photos taken during the long process to create the device. As a bonus, he also sent along shots of his girlfriend, who posed with the "Aperture Science Test Subject" costume that she created to compliment the gun. As you can see, their skills compliment one another.
