Activision today announced the downloadable content for Guitar Hero World Tour in December 2008. First among the releases will be a Smashing Pumpkins track pack featuring G.L.O.W., 1979 and Everlasting Gaze. Following on December 11 will be Nirvana with You Know You're Right, Negative Creep and Sliver.

December 18 will see the release of The Eagles' One of These Nights, Life in the Fast Lane and Frail Grasp on the Big Picture. The band's seminal Hotel California is already available on the Guitar Hero World Tour disc. Finally, there will be three free reggae tracks releasing on December 23, featuring Jimi from Slightly Stoopid, Your Face from Pepper and Sacrifice from the Expendables.

The track packs will be available on PS3 and Xbox 360 for $5.49, with each track available individually on PS3, Wii and Xbox 360 for $1.99.
