Activision today announced that Sting will make an appearance in Guitar Hero World Tour. Players can use a virtual avatar of the lead singer/bassist of The Police during the vocal career. Guitar Hero World Tour will also feature The Police song Demolition Man.

Additionally, alternative metal band Tool will contribute to Guitar Hero World Tour. Players will be able to play the band's hit songs Schism and Vicarious, which are both featured on the disc. Guitar Hero World Tour will feature an all-new venue designed in collaboration with the band, based upon the group's art style prominently featured in their music videos, live shows and album artwork.

Guitar Hero World Tour will release on PS2, PS3, Wii and Xbox 360 in Fall 2008.
