The Financial Times is reporting that talks are underway with Guitar Hero publisher Activision and Rock Band distributor MTV Games to create a game based around the Beatles. The Beatles business company Apple Corps and Beatles master recording holder EMI would both have to sign off on the deal. The FT reports that the "final deal would be worth several million dollars."

Apple Corps has become more active of late, licensing Beatles music for use on American Idol. Martin Bandier, chief executive of Sony/ATV Music Publishing, said to the FT that this exposure has increased business inquires relating to the seminal British band. However, Beatles music has yet to officially release on any digital music store.
