Activision today announced a partnership with the United Service Organizations (USO). The game publisher will make a $10 donation to the USO up to a total of $20,000 for every copy of Call of Duty: World at War that is purchased at the Washington, D.C. GameStop store during a pre-release event for the game. Additionally, Activision has donated over $100,000 worth of the Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock game for use in USO gaming lounges and mobile USO fleets around the world.

"Through this partnership we are able to bring joy to troops that are serving across the globe this holiday season," said Mike Griffith, President and CEO of Activision Publishing. "The USO is an extraordinary organization and we are committed to working together to develop opportunities that show our support for the troops and celebrate their continued service to our country."
