Larry 'Major Nelson' Hryb today revealed via his blog a new update for the Xbox 360 backwards compatibility list. It includes almost 40 new titles added with 9 updates to previously added games. The full list of backwards compatible titles in the U.S. is now nearly 300.
Notable titles added include Burnout 3: Takedown, Counter Strike and Sid Meier's Pirates. Previously added titles receiving an update include Half Life 2 and Mortal Kombat: Deception. For the first time, Xbox games not yet released have made the list, including Spy Hunter: Nowhere to Run and Lego Star Wars II.
