2-D fighting remains strong with Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core for the PlayStation 2. Although nothing has changed over previous releases in the series and with no real Story Mode, the fighting action still rules. With very smooth controls, outstanding 2-D animation, a sweet rock soundtrack and plenty of modes and fighters to tackle on your own or with friends, this game packs more than enough value to make up for the $30 beating your wallet just took.
