Starting on Friday, December 7, the Guild Wars team is letting current customers check out their latest game expansion, Guild Wars: Eye of the North, for free for five hours. The deal will only last for 10 days.

Current Guild Wars players will be happy to know the player requirement to enter the Eye of the North expansion has been lowered from 20 to 10. As a reward for expansion players, they'll receive several holiday bonuses, including triple experience points for storyline quests, double the chance to receive rare items, a triple drop rate for lockpicks and double gold and experience for Hard Mode players.

Players are invited to several weekend long events where they find three special items: Sparklers, Hunter's Ale and Honeycombs.
