The GameDaily One-Minute Review
Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for the PS2 is tearing up the sales charts, but fans of the series need to take a good look at Grand Theft Auto Advance, a mini-me version of the popular crime-simulator that's a mix of old and new school elements. Featuring a brand new story in the GTA universe, you play as Mike, a thug who's been falsely accused of the death of his friend Vinnie. Now on the run and searching for Vinnie's killer, Mike must complete 300 missions in Liberty City to solve the mystery, while at the same time staying away from the police. Like the first two games in the series, GTA Advance is played from a top-down perspective, and you can car jack any vehicle you see. Also, there's a decent selection of weapons, and the numerous missions and side quests give the game tons of replay value. It suffers from slow down and you can't save during missions, but those are very small gripes. Hop into that sports car and squish some pedestrians! GTA Advance is the ultimate portable guilty pleasure.User Reviews
