John Romero today revealed the name of his new development company. Called Slipgate Ironworks, it will specialize in creating MMOs. It has been known for months that Romero has been working on an MMO project, but few details have otherwise been released.

"My executive cabal and I are very excited to build an amazing development team and create something truly unique. Our offices are located near Redwood City, California.
