Fire Emblem is a dream for many strategy and RPG junkies. The main quest is extremely long and packed with multiple side quests, as well as extras to up the replay value. The battles play out on an overhead grid very similar to Intelligent System's previous two Advance Wars titles. Things such as weather, terrain, a unit's level, and what weapon they have equipped must be kept in mind at all times to ensure victory. One thing to keep in mind is that the difficulty level is rather high, even for someone with plenty of previous strategy experience.
