E3: Final Fantasy XIII Xbox 360 Bound (PS3)

Perhaps the biggest bombshell of E3 so far: Final Fantasy XIII is no longer a PS3 exclusive. The improved relations between Microsoft and Square Enix (and likely some stark business realities) helped the announcement come to pass.

When Square Enix President Yoichi Wada took the stage at the Microsoft press conference, he commented on his company's growing relationship with the Xbox 360 creator. He talked about the company's upcoming plans with the Xbox 360 exclusive Infinite Undiscovery, Star Ocean: The Last Hope (which has only been announced for 360) and The Last Remnant, which is coming to the 360 along with the PS3.

Though all of these announcements had been previously confirmed, an unexpected surprise and highlight of the press conference was the revelation that Final Fantasy XIII will be releasing on the Xbox 360. Previously, the game had only been confirmed for the PS3. What's more, the mega-franchise will release on the 360 the same day and date as the PS3 version of the game in both North America and Europe.
