Square Enix's twentieth anniversary port of Final Fantasy II should definitely find an audience, even with its slightly aged content. The adventure demands attention, as players enter numerous battles while attempting to complete this epic quest. The remastered visuals don't look half bad, going with a retro look that takes advantage of the PSP hardware. The remixed soundtrack sounds wondrous as well. The battle system wears thin quicker than expected and the story comes across as a little flimsy, especially when compared to more current Final Fantasy games. Nevertheless, it offers hours of enjoyment.
