According to the U.K. Official Nintendo Magazine, Nintendo is planning on releasing its top titles in Europe before the end of 2004. The strategic release plan includes Metroid Prime 2 and Geist for the GameCube and Pokemon Fire Red / Leaf Green for the Game Boy Advance.
These titles add punch to a 2004 release schedule that already includes Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles and Pokemon Colosseum.
Shigeru Miyamoto, who was quoted in the article, stated that work is progressing on the new Mario title Mario 128 and a new Zelda title for the GameCube.
This news comes at a critical juncture, proving that Nintendo's first and second party developer support remains strong and Nintendo's GameCube commitment is firm. This insight also dismisses some industry rumors regarding Nintendo shifting focus toward developing for its next-generation console.
