The GameDaily One-Minute Review

EA's breathed life into the boxing genre with Fight Night 2004, the replacement to the company's deceased Knock Out Kings series. Fight Night is a cool game that features incredibly detailed fighters that take damage with each bone crushing blow. The action is fast and furious as both competitors send streams of blood and drops of sweat flying every which way, and EA's implemented Total Punch Control, a system that allows you to control your fighter's punches using the right analog stick. The game also features a fairly deep Career Mode and online play (PS2 only), but the real star is the game's knockouts, where faces contort and bodies twitch. Certain areas of the game could've used a bit more polish, but overall, Fight Night is the perfect game for boxing fans or those just looking to pick a fight.
