Back in July of this year, Crytek had released patch version 1.2 for its immensely-popular shooter Far Cry. Unfortunately, gamers who installed the patch began reporting serious game anomalies and issues with certain graphics cards.

Crytek quickly pulled the patch and has been tinkering on it for months now. Finally eager gamers can bump up the revision level of Far Cry, but not without some cautionary steps.

Crytek has asked gamers to carefully read the patch notes of version 1.3 before installing it over their software. There are several known issues that could affect the quality of gameplay. One of the more critical issues is that save games created on the recalled version 1.2 patch will not be compatible with the version 1.3 patch. There are also a variety of graphical artifacts and rendering issues for those gamers with certain graphics cards and drivers.

Patch 1.3 incorporates all of the planned updates and fixes from version 1.2 as well as a boatload of other enhancements. These fixes include problems with the game crashing on certain levels to new graphical updates and sound options.
