I am very excited to announce that Bethesda Softworks has begun work on a sequel to Fallout 3, known as Fallout: New Vegas. It is supposedly set after a 2 hour war between the Enclave and the Brotherhood of Steel. According to multiple sources, the man on the hill is a new high tech Enclave soldier that had arrived in Nevada (New Vegas) from California (The Flag).

A humanidade finalmente optou por transformar o planeta Terra em um campo de batalhas nucleares. 2077 foi o ano da ruína, mas Fallout 3 se passa 200 anos depois dessa desgraça (30 anos depois de Fallout 2). O cenário principal do game não poderia ser nada mais nada menos que Capitol Wasteland e os arredores da arruinada Washington DC Bem, demora um pouco para que o jogador tenha a chance de contemplar esse cenário decrépito. Ainda assim, vale a pena comentar desde já sobre a qualidade espantosa que Fallout 3 mostrou em sua ambientação. Com todo o caos ocorrido, a humanidade teve que rapidamente tomar providências. É claro que nem todos foram salvos com os abrigos à prova de radiação. As chamadas Vaults são as instalações criadas pelos estadunidenses para o salvamento dos humanos escolhidos. Sim, tal atrocidade ocorreu: apenas cidadãos que tinham boa saúde ea mínima propensão para doenças foram para as Vaults. E então, na Vault 101, começa a história do jogador. Inicialmente, há cenas exibindo o nascimento do personagem controlado pelo gamer. Curiosamente, é possível presenciar os primeiros momentos de vida do protagonista principal e controlá-lo por um breve tempo. Depois de ser bem-sucedido como um bebê (abrir a portinhola do pequeno cercado e caminhar até o pai), novas etapas da vida são exibidas.
