Various pirate internet and torrent sites today started carrying Fallout 3. Despite massive amounts of talk about PC piracy of late, the version circulating is the Xbox 360 release of the game. The pirated version of Fallout 3 requires a modded console to play.

Reports theorize that the leak for the game may have occurred at the manufacturing plant. Bethesda has reportedly responded by offering cease and desist letters to those who are hosting the pirated version of Fallout 3.

Fallout 3 is slated to ship on October 28.
