PlayStation 3 fans, the wait is almost over. Publisher Bethesda Softworks says the first downloadable content for Fallout 3 (previously only available on Xbox 360 and PC) will be arriving as soon as September.

Broken Steel will be the first PS3 DLC available, followed by Operation: Anchorage and The Pitt "shortly thereafter." After that, Ashley Cheng, Bethesda Softworks production director, promises the company will release Point Lookout and Mothership Zeta "as soon as we can."

In addition, the DLC will support PlayStation 3 Trophies, so you'll be able to show off your mad Fallout skills in PlayStation Home. No official word yet onwhether there will be any PS3-exclusive content or when the fifth and final Fallout DLC, Mothership Zeta (some sources say July 28) will be released; or if the newest add-on will arrive for 360, PC and PS3 simultaneously.
