Excitebots: Trick Racing is one of the wackiest games you'll play on the Wii. Whereas most racers put you behind the wheel of trucks or muscle cars, Nintendo's newest racer lets you control transforming robots in the shapes of animals like frogs, bats and ladybugs. Holding the remote horizontally (or plugged into the packaged Wii Wheel), you hit the gas and tilt left and right to steer your transforming ride through a varied assortment of tracks, the goal to not only come in first, but also pull off stunts to earn more stars than your opponents. Assorted mini-games make Excitebots even more bizarre, as you go fishing, create a sandwich and knock over bowling pins while racing. It's all in good fun, and the ability to go online and compete against five other players (mostly lag free) makes it significantly more enjoyable than its predecessor, the offline only Excite Truck. It may lack the features in other racing games, but Excitebots will keep your hands glued to the remote.
