EVE Online, the nearly four-year-old space-based massively multiplayer online (MMO) game from CCP, is now available on Steam. To celebrate the new deal, Steam players are offered a special free 21-day trial that lets them explore the game. If they continue, they'll also receive $5 off their first month's paid subscription.
"We are immensely excited and honored that EVE Online will be the first MMO on Steam," said Magnus Bergsson, VP of Sales at CCP. "Steam has been the leading online distribution platform for a long time and home to some of the most dedicated gamers around, so we couldn't think of a better fit for EVE Online."
For more information about EVE Online, players can find further details on the game's page on Steam.
