Legacy Interactive, the Hollywood-based developer known for its expertise in developing TV branded games, announced that a game based on the hit television series ER is in the works. Featuring such cast members as Noah Wyle (Dr. John Carter), Sherry Stringfield (Dr. Susan Lewis) and Mekhi Phifer (Dr. Gregory Pratt), ER will allow player to join the cast of the TV show as a newly hired intern. Gamers will have to handle a steady flow of patients with health issues ranging from minor cuts and bruises to serious injuries sustained from accidents and violence.
"The ER game combines the best of the popular strategy/role-playing genre with the top-rated television franchise ER," said Ariella Lehrer, CEO of Legacy Interactive. "Players of the game will get to interact with their favorite stars in dramatic and engaging storylines reminiscent of the TV show."
Interact is a good considering the game will have players navigate goals, dodge sticky politics, deal with gut-wrenching ethical dilemmas, and engage in steamy romances. The ultimate goal of the game will be to gain prestige among peers and supervisors and ascend the ranks of Chicago's County General Hospital.
We hope this will be the only ER we'll get familiar with during next week's E3, and we hope to bring you more details soon as the game is set for a release sometime this fall.
