Mad Doc Software and VU Games have announced Empire Earth 2, a sequel to their critically acclaimed real-time strategy game Empire Earth. The game is currently on track for a release in the first half of 2005.
The game will feature 14 different civilizations, each with their own unique units, leaders, powers and bonuses. The game will also feature real-time weather that will affect the gameplay and an enhanced A.I. that will adapt to its human opponents techniques.
Empire Earth 2 will feature a strong multiplayer component with a variety of new functionality. These new components include a war planning screen for teammate coordination and Crown system that will reward players temporary bonuses for their superior abilities. The multiplayer will feature nine different game types, recordable games, improved tournament support, advanced statistics reporting and co-operative scenarios.
Empire Earth 2 allows the gamer to become a conqueror on an epic scale. The gamer will be able to build and lead a civilization that will span eons; from the discovery of fire to pushing the boundaries of space.
