The GameDaily One-Minute Review
Game Freak, developers of the Pokemon games, has scored another GBA hit with Drill Dozer, an innovative platform adventure that is less about reaching ledges and more about wanton destruction...while reaching ledges. In the game, you take control of a unique piece of drilling equipment that's capable of busting through walls, doors, and enemies. But what makes the game truly unique is the ability to shift gears, whereupon which you'll be able to obliterate titanic bosses and previously indestructible objects. I think the music sucks and the story is pretty stereotypical as far as platform games go, but I'm hooked by Drill Dozer's charm, the shifting, and the actual cartridge, which rumbles every time the drill is activated.
