The GameDaily One-Minute Review
The sad part about Digimon World 4 is it had a lot of potential. Even sadder is the wasting of that potential not because of an intrinsic flaw in the gameplay, but rather the decision to make the game extremely challenging for new players. When the game finally starts to improve, most will be too burnt out from the repetition to really care. The mechanics for an enjoyable experience are there, but they're just so deeply hidden by the poor design that it's not worth the time or the effort to seek them out.
