Downloadable original games are not only getting more and more popular but are receiving more production value as well. A perfect example of this trend is the upcoming PC title Defense Grid: The Awakening. This sci-fi strategy-action game from indie developer Hidden Path Entertainment looks very impressive in previously released screenshots and its use of the tower defense style of gameplay gives the game a unique slant.The game is due for release next month but Big Download got Hidden Path's CEO Jeff Pobst to answer our questions about Defense Grid, including more info on its gameplay modes, when we can expect a demo, plans for downloadable content and more.
