Atari Announces Deer Hunter Tournament (XB360)

Sadly, this game is not related to the Oscar winning film about the Vietnam War. Players will be able to stalk and slay in a wide variety of locales, and for the first time, on the Xbox 360.

Atari today announced the latest incarnation in the Deer Hunter franchise. Titled Deer Hunter Tournament, the game will allow players to hunt in several exotic locales using true-to-life hunting techniques. Deer Hunter Tournament promises to have a great amount of detail, from the environments to the animal AI and even predators who will stalk and attack human hunters.

"Deer Hunter Tournament is poised to reinforce its place as the ultimate hunting video game franchise and we anticipate an even broader audience through our expansion of the brand to Xbox 360 and Xbox Live," said Jim Wilson, CEO, Atari. "We are confident that this new edition with its first-ever online multiplayer tournament gameplay, enhanced artwork and mechanics, exotic game and locales will provide fans with the ultimate in realistic hunting experiences."

Deer Hunter Tournament will release on PC and Xbox 360 in Fall 2008.
