Hudson Soft today announced that Deca Sports has shipped 700,000 units worldwide. The Wii title was released as Deca Sporta in Japan in March 2008, followed by a U.S. release in May as Deca Sports with a European release as Sports Island in June. Hudson noted that they are looking to develop titles that "follow in the footsteps of Deca Sports."
Deca Sports has 10 different sporting events, including archery, badminton, supercross and curling. The mini-game title has some cooperative events, with competition for up to four players. All of the "events" in Deca Sports are controlled using the motion sensing capabilities of the Wii Remote.
