To bring things a little more earthbound, the U.S. Military has recently released America's Army v2.3 (Firefight), the latest version of their popular simulation shooter. Both the upgrade and full version are available, so there's no better time to check out what being a soldier is all about!

Global conflict is going to be stepped up with the imminent release of Act of War: Direct Combat, so check out its very impressive demo and new trailer. Rounding things off are a couple of trailers and interviews for Brothers in Arms: The Road to Hill 30 that are definitely worth seeing.

For a slightly different twist to World War II, watch the opening trailer to Freedom Force vs. The Third Reich, and get a taste of what the upcoming sequel to the acclaimed superhero-themed tactical combat game is all about! Last, but certainly not least, there is the developer's interview for Empire Earth II, the game that looks to not only rewrite the book on RTS gaming, but lets players rewrite history too.
