When you're a guy like me, you can't help but indulge in guilty pleasures. A few of you might recall that I'm one of the few people that actually gave The Guy Game an above-average rating, merely for the drinking game opportunities. Team Ninja provided its die-hard fans with this kind of indulgence a couple of years back with the release of Dead Or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball. This is a title that's not really about acknowledging the skill of volleyball, but rather the cosmetic touches surrounding it. The strategy is put more into buying swimsuits for the Dead Or Alive girls and watching them frolic around than pinpoint volleyball controls. Yeah, it just reeks of guilty pleasure.

So it's no surprise then that Itagaki and company have already begun work on the follow-up, Dead Or Alive Xtreme 2. But as you might have noticed from the lack of the words Beach and Volleyball, there's more to do than just hit the sand and smack the ball around. The girls get to engage in a number of activities that make Zack Island more expansive this time around. Let's break down each of the activities that are included in the game...

Volleyball- The volleyball game does make a return, and once again has you moving quickly to keep up with the action. You choose a team of two and then take to different island courts in a best-of-seven game. The way this game plays is very similar to the original, complete with spikes and serves. Each time a point is scored, you get a close-up view opportunity of the girls, giving you either words of encouragement or disappointment, depending on the scoring. Either way, you get an eyeful.

Personal Water Craft (PWC) racing- Think Wave Race, but instead of overly costumed riders, you have the bikini-wearing DOA girls making the rounds. Sounds like fun, don't it? You cruise through courses scattered across Zack Island, going to the left and right of buoys while trying to get your best times and beating the other girls in racing competition. Early footage of this looks promising, although you can easily get distracted if you stare at the wrong curves (the girl's, not the course's). Damn distractions.

Water Slider- An interactive tube sliding ride? While this may sound a bit limited in terms of going off the track, this still looks like an entertaining mini-game. You ride in an inner tube with your brazen beauty, going over bumps and around turns before eventually ending your ride with a splash. There's probably going to be some Time Trial challenges associated with this one, and various slides to choose from.

Rope Pulling- Here's a fun little game of tug-of-war between two competitors, with the loser eventually getting pulled into the water. The interaction on this mini-game should be a good time, taking advantage of the analog control while also throwing in a bit of strategy to keep your opponent on their toes. You don't want to pull the rope too hard or you'll be pool-bound.

Hip Wrestling- I love the name of this little mini-game, although Butt-Bounce would probably be a more suitable (if inappropriate) one. Two girls stand on a platform in the middle of a pool, and they basically have to "butt bounce" each other off of the platform to win. It sounds simple, but there are some dodging techniques that come into play to give you an advantage. You can move up and down out of the way of a harmful rear ending and then strike back with a strike to send them into the water. (You're lucky I didn't make mention of the words "lethal butt blow"...)
