Dante's Inferno should be a nice appetizer to God of War III. Much like Sony's highly-anticipated PlayStation 3 sequel, it's a furious button masher where players dispatch enemies as a blade wielding badass, except instead of roaming around ancient Greece, they go on a scenic tour of Hell, battling demon babies, a naked Cleopatra and other bizarre looking monsters. It's bloody, incredibly controversial (expect some phallic images) and quite entertaining.

Recently, EA sent us the latest trailer that showcases the game's Sixth Circle of Hell, otherwise known as Heresy. Thousands, perhaps millions, of heretics burn for the sins they committed, and the game's hero, Dante, has the option of saving or damning them for all eternity. Rescue their tortured souls, and he becomes enlightened. Descend into darkness, and he grows more like Satan with each passing act.

That said, enjoy the three plus minutes of boiling blood, creature stomping and grotesque scenes, then pray for your mortal soul, AKA preordering the game, which debuts for Xbox 360, PS3 and PSP February 9th.
