Konami's newest Dance Dance Revolution Universe 2 for Xbox 360 released this week. Fans of the dance and fitness game will find new songs, a new freestyle mode and a new and improved Quest Mode that allows players to create unique characters.
"DDR UNIVERSE 2 is a perfect fit for the Xbox 360 because of the great graphics, plethora of hit songs and the downloadable content available," said Anthony Crouts, Vice President of Marketing for Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. "There's also a new feature, Freestyle Mode, which enables players to create their own dance steps without depending on the directional arrows."
Optimized with high-definition graphics, the game also offers Xbox Live players a chance to download exclusive songs and compete in head-to-head online competitions. Players new to the game gain a Freestyle mode that lets them (or kids) learn how to dance without the arrows used to instruct where players should place their feet in order to perform dance moves.
Tuned with songs from the 70s, 80s and 90s, players will enjoy songs like "Walk Like an Egyptian," "Jungle Boogie" and "The Way You Move." Of course, no DDR game would be complete without the high-sweating fitness fury of Workout mode. The mode has proved so popular that several fitness clubs and schools have incorporated the game into their physical education programs.
DDR Universe 2 is rated E10+ by the ESRB and comes with the game and a controller for $69.99 -- still way cheaper than a health clinic.
